About Me
-
Empathy has no script. To me, it means listening with intention, creating space for difficult emotions, withholding judgment, and helping people feel genuinely understood. I bring that same approach into my work with couples, where feeling heard and emotionally understood can be an important part of rebuilding connection.
Couples often come to therapy feeling stuck in patterns of conflict, disconnection, resentment, communication difficulties, or uncertainty about how to move forward. Sometimes both partners care deeply about the relationship but no longer know how to reach one another. My goal is to provide a safe, balanced, and supportive space where both partners can slow things down, better understand what is happening beneath the conflict, and begin communicating in more constructive ways.
In our work together, I strive to help each partner feel respected, understood, and able to express their needs and experiences without judgment. We can explore recurring relationship patterns, strengthen communication, increase emotional understanding, and work toward rebuilding trust and connection.
My broader clinical experience includes supporting individuals with depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use concerns, and other significant life challenges, as well as working with individuals involved in the judicial system. These experiences have strengthened my understanding of how personal history, stress, trauma, and life circumstances can influence the way we relate to the people closest to us.
I believe that each couple is the expert on their own relationship and experiences. My role is not to take sides or tell you what your relationship should look like, but to meet you where you are, help you better understand one another, and support you in creating the kind of relationship and connection that feels meaningful to both of you.
